Language Acquisition

The NFLC team devoted to issues of Second Language Acquisition, Language Assessment, and other areas of applied linguistics, forms the hub of a much wider network. This commitment enables them to:

• Provide substantive design and content for proposed projects addressing aspects of U.S. language capability
• Ensure that language learning and assessment materials developed at the NFLC are consistent with relevant research and grounded theory
• Play a key role in the training of consultants in the LangNet project
