The Design Of The Alta Langnet Project Author: David Dwyer, 1998
The NFLC-FIPSE funded project known as LangNet, of which the African Language Teachers Association (ALTA) is a part, is a first stage of a long term project aimed at developing a web accessible, customizable program of language learning based on learner needs and goals using learning units called Language Learning Modules. This document describes the vision of a customizable language learning program assembled from Language Learning Modules, the overall goals of the LangNet project, the architecture of the LangNet web site including the design of the database, and the activities of the Editorial Boards and the progress they have achieved so far. -
